SACS Quality Enhancement Plan timeline:

Spring 2003                                       

• Appoint QEP Committee and hold organizational meeting.

Summer 2003                                     

• Review SACS guidelines for development of QEP.

• Establish criteria for selection of QEP theme.

• Identify possible QEP themes.

Fall 2003

• Survey faculty, staff, students, administrators, and other stakeholders on possible QEP themes.

• Determine QEP theme.

Spring/Summer 2004

• Obtain input from faculty, staff, students, administrators, and other stakeholders on implementation of QEP theme.

• Collect information on initiatives at other institutions related to QEP theme.

• Develop implementation plan, including goals, student learning outcomes, resources and assessment.

• Draft QEP document.

Fall 2004

• Make QEP draft available for review by faculty, staff, students, administrators, other stakeholders.

• Finalize QEP for submission to SACS.

January 2005

• Submit QEP to SACS.

Spring 2005

• Host site visit by External Review Committee –
  March 21-23, 2005
