| 2/4/2008 3:00:35 PM | We have begun to build programs for Phase I. Banner-CAPP training for advisors who do modifications will begin February 13th. This training is required before you can begin testing your programs in Banner. Only the people who are fully trained will be given security to run evaluations. We will not begin building programs for the next phase until the programs for the previous phase have been tested and approved. |
| 6/26/2007 1:11:25 PM | If you currently use degree audit (OnCourse) in your day to day business, please read the following carefully. With the advisors' busy summer schedules, we haven't been able to plan a convenient time to have our Degree Audit Luncheon. Since we have had inquiries concerning the status of CAPP (Banner Degree Audit) we felt it was important to relay this information without further delay. Banner Student is scheduled to go live in Fall 2008 for Spring 2009 registration. We are making every effort to have the most commonly used degree plans available in CAPP by Fall 2008. We have been trained by the Banner consultants and are currently building and testing program requirements in the "test" environment. We have a follow-up visit scheduled with the consultant in July where we hope to iron out some of the unique situtations our degree plans possess. When the "production" environment of Banner is ready, we are prepared to devote manpower and hours in getting the programs built as quickly as possible for you to review and test. TTU's Banner Team plans to start the initial training sessions for faculty and staff soon. We will include CAPP training either during that time or very shortly after you finish general navigation training. Once training has begun, we will have a revised timeline for CAPP. After you have been trained in CAPP, each college will be responsible to review, test and sign off on each program before we continue. PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL DEGREE PROGRAMS WILL BE COMPLETE AND READY FOR USE BY FALL 2008. For the programs that won't be complete, you should start making plans now on procedures your college can take to prepare for this. As a reminder, any modifications made to the student degree plans in TechSIS on screens 651-672 will not convert to Banner and will need to be manually entered into Banner. This will be thoroughly covered in CAPP training. We are preparing reports that will contain the information in TechSIS to help you with this process. The Banner conversion will be a very busy time with training and testing in many areas besides CAPP. We want you to be prepared for this and know that we are willing to help in any capacity that we can. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact any of us. To view a sample compliance (degree audit), go to our homepage, click on "Sample AGBS Compliance (Evaluation)" under CAPP. |
| 5/21/2007 1:03:34 PM | 5/21/2007 Backfill process will take place after the next loads to UDEV. This will happen after June 1st but before Mock II on July 25th. We will be notified when this has been completed so we can test it before Mock II. |
| 5/21/2007 1:03:21 PM | 5/9/2007 During Mock I consulting we ran approximately one hundred students through SSB (majors-CE, COBA, FIN, MDS, NURS, PR, PSY; concentrations-MERS, MELR; minors-PSY, MATH, THA). The only degree evaluations that worked were on students that we previously ran evaluations through INB. Lee Cipolla, the consultant, said this was because the “backfill” process was not done. This is a process that will need to be completed after every conversion by IS. Degree evaluations ran through INB are working and further testing will continue. |
| 3/14/2007 5:11:26 PM | The minutes from the luncheon meeting on March 9, 2007 are now available on the website under "Luncheons". There is a copy of the sample evaluation shown under "Sample Evaluation". |
