Texas Tech
University is in partial compliance with Comprehensive Standard
#3.2.10.
All administrative
and academic officers of Texas Tech University are evaluated
annually. The chancellor, deputy chancellors, chief financial
officer, and the presidents are evaluated by the board of
regents (Board of Regents Rules 02.03.3, Performance Evaluation,
available in pdf format at
http://www.depts.ttu.edu/oppol/).
Annual evaluation
of other academic administrators is specified under OP 30.15,
Academic Administrator Evaluation (http://www.depts.ttu.edu/opmanual/OP30.15.pdf).
The university
does not have a policy that covers evaluation of vice
presidents; however, practice within the university is that the
vice presidents are appointed by the president and are evaluated
by him or her on an annual basis. A similar practice applies to
the director of athletics.
The most
recent evaluations of vice presidents and the athletic director
were conducted in summer 2004.
Annual evaluation
by supervisors of all classified employees is covered in O.P.

Action Plan:
Texas Tech University will develop an
operating policy that provides for annual evaluation of senior
vice presidents, vice presidents, and the athletic director by
the university president. |
