  Narrative:

Texas Tech University is non-compliant with Comprehensive Standard 3.2.5.

According to Texas state law members of the Board of Regents of state universities are appointed by the governor with approval by the state senate. Article 15, Section 9 of the Texas Constitution contains provisions for the removal of public officers (which includes appointed members of university boards of regents) through impeachment. Therefore, the Board of Regents Rules contains no provision for removing a regent from office.

Action Plan:

There is no action the university is able to take to amend the state constitution.
