3.4.10 The institution defines and publishes general education requirements for its undergraduate programs and major program requirements for all its programs. These requirements conform to commonly accepted standards and practices for degree programs.

Texas Tech University is in compliance with Comprehensive Standard 3.4.10.

Undergraduate general  education requirements and requirements for all undergraduate and graduate academic major programs except for Law, which maintains a separate catalog, are published in the Texas Tech University Catalog  (http://www.depts.ttu.edu/officialpublications/catalog/Catalog.html).

General education requirements must conform to the core curriculum requirements of the State of Texas (see Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board rules , Chapter 4, Sub Chapter B, Sec. 4.28. (http://www.thecb.state.tx.us/CBRules/tac3.cfm?Chapter_ID=4&SubChapter=B)

Most professional programs are accredited by national professional accrediting agencies and must conform to their standards.  The requirements of unaccredited programs are consistent with those of other institutions comparable with Texas Tech University. The requirements for undergraduate programs at Texas Tech University conform to commonly accepted standards and practices for degree  programs.
